Czech Republic and Hungary claim gold in the XCE event at the World University Championships Cycling

San Carlos, Costa Rica, June 1, 2024. – The cyclist from the Czech Republic Patricia Srnska won the gold medal ante XCE of the Mountain Bike, while Anna Bokros, from Hungary, got the silver medal and Constantina Georgiou, from Cyprus, got the bronze.

“I am very happy for this victory, happy to compete with cyclists from other countries, the weather was quite hot, but despite the conditions we left with the victory,” said Srnska after receiving the gold medal.

At the men’s level, the victory went to the Hungarian cyclist Aron Horváth, second place went to the German Louis Krauss and the third place was in the hands of the Polish Piotr Krynski.

“It is the first time I compete in this modality, happy to win against rivals of a demanding level, the atmosphere was spectacular, I really like Costa Rica even though it is the first time I visit it,” Horváth stated.
