SAN CARLOS, COSTA RICA – Jakub Toupalik of the Czech Republic and Petra Zsankó of Hungary emerged victorious in the men’s and women’s individual time trials, respectively, at the ongoing World University Cycling Championship in San Carlos, Costa Rica.
Toupalik and Zsankó have been exceptional performers throughout the championship, with Zsankó claiming her second gold medal and Toupalik adding another gold to his tally, bringing his total medal count to one gold and one silver.
In the men’s category, Poland’s Marcin Trojanowski and Konrad Czabok secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Meanwhile, Zuzanna Chylińska of Poland and Nora Jencusova of Slovakia finished second and third in the women’s time trial.
